The government of Ghana has signed an MOU with the government of Israel to send fifty (50) Ghanaian students for a 12-month Agricultural training program. During the program, the students will be assigned to renowned farms in Israel, where they will have a year-long hands-on production experience. The signing was done by Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto (Minister of Food and Agriculture) on behalf of Ghana and H.E Ami Mehl (Israeli Ambassador to Ghana) on behalf of Israel. This is intended to be a yearly program.
Trainees upon return to Ghana will establish their own farms where they will apply the experience garnered for optimum production.
