The Ministry of Food and Agriculture partnered with Agritop Limited to supply free vegetables to Zongo and inner cities residents.
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic outbreak, Agritop in collaboration with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) teamed up to donate vegetables from the Greenhouse Village module, under the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) programme to mitigate the impact of hunger.
The Dwahenya and Bawjiase greenhouse farms donated vegetables to the Nuuru Usumaniyya Orphanage and the Ministry of Inner-city and Zongo development respectively. At the donations was George Oduro, deputy minister of agriculture and General Manager of Agritop, Ofer Tamir.
Also, the Akumadan greenhouse village donated to the Agogo hospital in the Kumasi South Hospital. Madam Nancy Tamakloe Otibo, who presented the food items on behalf of Agritop stressed on the need for our support to families and patients to keep food on the table during the pandemic.
